That were real spaces - done.
(I also added highlighting for trailing spaces to my .vimrc ;-)

That's the result of manually shortening the patch (to avoid you get 
some of the changes needed for the rule class with this patch). I should 
have used recountdiff instead of counting lines manually ;-)
