Hello Daniel, it looks like the 'source' of this issue has been found:
https://github.com/snapcore/snapd/pull/4306/files

I don't know how long until this update lands in a downloadable tool.

If you have any trouble using these tools to disable snapd, please do file
bugs about it. You can of course also purge snapd if you're not using any
snaps.
