Sorry for my unclear mini-rant. I have become addicted to the apt repo
version of bzr, and have no interest in "building from source" at this
point. Yes, I know it's not compiled, but basically my policy is to stay
within the package manager unless there is an absolutely compelling
reason not to. I'm only playing with bzr, since I haven't yet adopted it
for any real work, so it's not that compelling for me right now.
A week or two ago, the bzr apt repo suddenly stopped working with my
hoary system. I didn't know why at the time, and mentioned it on the
list, but got no response. Later, I realized that it broke within a day
or two of the breezy release, so I strongly suspect that's the cause.
Ever since then, dependency issues have prevented me from updating bzr
via apt. I eventually stopped trying and uninstalled my stale bzr.
It would be swell if there were an apt-repo containing bzr for us hoary
folks. Unless that happens, I'll just wait until after I breezyfy myself
before re-installing bzr.
