I just thought this was noteworthy enough that it should be posted to
the mailing list.
I looked over it, and it looks pretty good. And I think spawning an SSH
is a nice way to do it, since it does mean that you get all of the
config goodness. And ssh-agent as well (though paramiko seemed to handle
ssh-agent).

My branch of bzr should solve this problem:
http://people.ubuntu.com/~jamesh/bzr.sftp
It still uses paramiko for the SFTP implementation, but uses openssh as
the transport (if available). Since it is using openssh, it has full
support for ~/.ssh/config options and authentication methods.
