Sincerely, I never tough about a similar request; today I am working on
some speed improvement on the fetch/weave code. After that I will think about
this request. The main problem is that in a large tree the compute of the log
which you request is expensive ( no too much, but a bit ).
If the work of Denys ( about reading only the weave prelude ) will be merged,
then the compute of a directory log will be accetable.
