http is fine.. it's fast enough. Just remember that http is read
only :)
sftp will be part of standard package.

There are multiple ways to do it.
Either you all have push-rights to a central branch, everyone can push
to it at any time. The only problem is that you have to merge as soon as
someone else pushes something. Not really a problem.
Or, just one of you can have access to the main branch, all others
publishes their branches somewhere, the person that has rights to the
main branch can pull/merge/push.
Another way (and my preferred way) is to use bound branches.
Unfortunately, bound branches is not part of standard bzr. If you use
bound branches it will behave almost like a centralized rcs while
"bounded", but you can "unbind" at any time and work offline if you
which. This way you get the best of both worlds.
