And what about source which started from a different project ?
The copyright holder of the plugins webserve[*] is the author of Mercurial (
Matt Mackall ), because the plugins is a derived work from the Mercurial project.
I rewrote a lot of line, but is a derived work.
So, if Canonical would like to own the copyright of all the source of bazaar,
I see only two way:
1) Leave the webserve plugin as plugin forever, which implies a lot of difficult
in maintaining (in the past you spoke about the possibility of including the
webserve plugin in the mainline)
2) Rewrite from scratch the code... :-(
