I ran into that too (while investigating your post :)

The only conditional thing is that there are tests in 
'blackbox/test_revision_info.py' which should be moved into 
test_cat_revision.py

Actually, those tests would be enough, if we just change the strings 
from being 'a at r-0-1' to being u'a at r-0-1' which is how the command line 
would parse them.
