Is bazaar suitable for my purpose?

Hey there

I was wondering if anyone could say if bazaar is suitable for this
scenario?

I run the backup procedures for my collection of web programmers - we all
work on one (big) tree. They use FTP and I work on the server. Our
backup consists of a daily backup on alternate disks that goes back a
few days, nothing more.

I was thinking of setting up a VCS and committing the entire
tree every few hours via cron instead. This would give us much more
rollback capability.

I would need the VCS to automatically bring *everything* under our root
into version control when created, removed when deleted and to be able to
notice when things have moved. Our programmers will only ever use FTP, the
chance of me getting them to use anything else is less than zero. I would
also like to be able to delete revisions after, saw, 2 weeks - to conserve
space.

Also, how does bazaar cope when blobs are created, removed and deleted?

Do you think bazaar would be okay? Any advice would be much appreciated.

Cheers!

-Rob
