Equivalent to svn tags?

I was speaking on the non-specific sense of "getting stuff", not
particularly about `bzr pull`.  That could have been unclear...

behavior in a lot of cases   :]

Details.

M: I don't want these branches to try pulling just because they're in
   this location.  Here are some obvious negative consequences that
   could from from that.

A: Here are some ways to mitigate those negative consequences.

I'd be inclined to agree (though I'm starting to become afraid that
branches are getting enough locations to pass some threshold and
become self-aware).
