more performance work?

One of the vague criteria for fodder on the various Issues pages I put
together on the wiki way back when was "this should be fixed in 1.0".
It's been a number of versions since I updated them though; a fair
number of things I know are already either resolved or OBE.  But not
all of it.  Maybe I can find some time soon to go through and preen a
bit.

Glancing at it, the "log can only take 1 file and isn't recursive" is
still a big sore spot.  I think that's kinda blocked on inventory
reworking, but it would certainly be nice to have that working in 1.0.
