Probably it's better to read my initial e-mail in this topic and look at
my code. There is links to my branches.
It's almost ready for real dogfooding (only need testing merge
and teach it write merged files with proper encoding). Anyone can contribute
with testing or with real code. This code is usable IMO, but it's not ideal
solution. There is a room for a lot of improvements and refactoring of
existing codebase.

Also I'd like to have help in writing corresponding documentation on using
eol property (and file properties in general).
