Sure, still does.  But then the command help will list --pending, not
- --no-pending.  Which is much worse than double-negations in the source
code.

If bzrlib supported your suggestion, I'd be fine with it.  But it
doesn't, and implementing your suggestion properly would require
changing the way options.py works.  That's out of scope.
