I'm sure I've suggested this before, but I think an even better response
would be if Bundle Buggy used the address (and only the address) the
message was sent to when choosing which project to assign it to (and
thus which address to reply to).
I don't think there's been a case where it's been useful that someone
could e.g. mail the squid list with a merge directive for bzr.dev and
have Bundle Buggy treat it as a patch for bzr.dev. In contrast the
current policy has resulted in a small amount of noise and busy work for
people on bazaar at .
So to be concrete: I think the list the mail was sent to should be the
way BB distinguishes the target of a patch. If merge directive's
machine-readable target doesn't match a target that is valid for the
mailing list, then BB should treat it as a patch that needs manual
tracking, or simply not track it (I don't mind either way).
