That's true to some degree, however, the invested time differs wildly.
I can churn through about 2.000 "incoming bug" emails in half a day to
fish out the "fires" (which I do roughly every two weeks). Actually
triaging all of them would me take more than two weeks.

One of the things you should not do often is to start asking
questions/for more debug info and then forget about the bug. It's just
a waste of the reporter's and your time, and will create frustration
on the reporter side. Of course for some problems you need to do some
triaging to actually determine the scope of the problem, but we have
become fairly good in doing that automatically (just ask Bryce about
his armada of triaging scripts :) ).
