Hey, now that I have a Launchpad account, I can edit these pages! (last 
try I did, I was rejected...).
But after posting, I found out that more complete definitions are on 
their own pages, linked from there. So I leave as this for now.
Perhaps I will do someday a page with medium descriptions I collected, 
covering the most common terms (revision, branch, repository... and 
related: snapshot, changelist or changeset, etc.).

Acquiring/using the right vocabulary is one of the difficulties of using 
properly a VCS (at least for me). That's why I collect words of wisdom 
from this list... ;-)
