I would like to add my (small) voice to your proposal.  After my own nubie 
experience , it would be really pleasing to see this proposal implemented. 

For the plugin developers that would add another level of recognition  from 
the developers of the main line of "bazaar" - any plugin in the main bazaar 
repository would be seen as "approved".
