Alas, it does not, as the following CLI dialog shows:

ak at amd64:~/programs/fem/trunk$ bzr --version
Bazaar (bzr) 1.17
  Python interpreter: /usr/bin/python 2.6.2
  Python standard library: /usr/lib/python2.6
  bzrlib: /usr/lib/python2.6/dist-packages/bzrlib

It does not, though it probaly is my fault, as I have not uninstalled (yet)
bzr-gtk. Again, CLI dialog:
ak at amd64:~/programs/fem/trunk$ bzr explorer
Unable to load plugin 'gtk'. It requested API version (1, 13, 0) of module
<module 'bzrlib' from '/usr/lib/python2.6/dist-packages/bzrlib/__init__.pyc'>
but the minimum exported version is (1, 17, 0), and the maximum is (1, 17, 0)
bzr: ERROR: The API for "<module 'bzrlib' from '/usr/lib/python2.6/dist-
packages/bzrlib/__init__.pyc'>" is not compatible with "(1, 13, 0)". It
supports versions "(1, 17, 0)" to "(1, 17, 0)".

I am going to read it as soon as that lovely comedy on TCM finishes...

Well, the comedy did finish and I read the page that you referred to. In
summary it says do:

cd ~/.bazaar/plugins
bzr lp:bzr-explorer explorer

which is exactly what you said and I followed. It is nice to have a html
reference for it, though.

I also followed your advice to uninstall bzr-gtk. The result? Bingo!

bzr explorer

causes a window to open. I notice that the help pages look very "done", so I
will have some additional reading material. I think that this was a most
comprehensive guidance that I ever received.

I would like to declare that as a comprehensive victory for the bzr-explorer
plugin and all developers as a great bunch of guys!

Perhaps I should write a closing email in this thread with a summary where
this lead me, but not tonight.

Ian, are you on the South side of the globe, as I am? You reply so promptly
that your time zone must be similar. Hey, I will search for you on the
Launchpad!

Thanks again,

OldAl.
