The "buttons" aren't buttons as such: they are tabs within a Qt
"toolbox". The rendering is up to Qt and possibly platform specific.

I don't think the end result looks fantastic by any means but the
toolbox control is certainly functional. I'm open to changing it but I'm
not planning to spend time on improving it right now. OTOH, the code is
really straightforward (in lib/welcome.py) if some one wants to send me
a patch with better rendering.
