At least from my (user) perspective, it's much better.  In the past
there have been several occasions when an ANNOUNCEMENT was followed by
weeks of annoyance at the lack of PPA packages (often with a single
standard plugin rather than bzr itself blocking upgrade).

In the present circumstances I feel instead happy for the success of
your work (getting to code freeze) and can see the attention and effort
being put towards getting actual packages released.

Having just updated to 2.0.0 courtesy of Karmic, I'm very much looking
forward to experiencing the features of the bzr 2.x series ... :-)
