I my understanding, signing the Canonical Contributor Agreement is
only necessary if you are going to assign copyright of you plugin to
Canonical. It would probably be easier to keep it copyrighted to
yourself, or to assign it to the company you work for if they are
paying you for the time you spend on developing it.
