Mac OS X Downloads are out of date .... again :(

The problem is more of licensing... IIRC, only OS X server's license  
permits it to be run in a VM, even then only an Apple branded host.  
Because of this, VMWare ( and presumably parallels too) do checking to  
make sure it's a server version you're running.
