I'm just working on the reverse logic. Dropping support means some
pain for me, and I've not seen anything motivating in the list of
benefits.

That said, the merge proposal that prompted this thread is a little
vexing for compatibility, as try/yield/finally has no trivial
alternative even if I don't like the style. If you've got further
plans for using 2.5-or-later features, I'm interested in hearing more.
There are some 2.6 features I occasionally pine for, but as Alexander
mentions elsewhere in this thread, that then means the mess of a new C
runtime library on windows so I'm unlikely to make that jump soon.
