I have no idea why you would presume such a thing.  There are dozens,
maybe hundreds, of distributions; upstream is not going to keep track
of them all.  And then there are distributions which upstream would
prefer to avoid dealing with, because of their internal politics.
Oddly enough, those are the ones big enough that upstream might think
of them as a channel to a bunch of users.  Or maybe it's not odd. :-)

I don't know how to get that information from any pms offhand.  I
think that in fact few people do, except for folks who participate in
a distribution as a maintainer.
