   * Put back the sgml source file of the man page to comply with the DFSG.
   * Removed "Conflicts: libpolyxmass8" from

   * Many changes in the messages to the user, as I translated the library
     to french. Tweaked the internationalization framework so that
     everything should work. 
   * Function names were changed here and these so that their name is more
     meaningful.

   * First release after the switch to the gcc-4 compiler.  
   * Removed the -Werror CFLAGS component from the rules file, so that the
     configure script goes on even with warnings. Thanks to Andreas Jochens
     <aj at andaco.de> (closes: #303856).  
   * Equivalent bug (closes: #309507).
