>From a pair of days the problem has not reappeared again. I think it was solved
with the recent libcairo update (maybe? :S).
I'm using only breezy repositories and daily updated and now I've got installed
the following:

terrex at linda:~$ dpkg -l | grep rhythmbox
ii  rhythmbox                         0.8.8cvs20050801-0ubuntu1         music
player and organizer for GNOME
ii  rhythmbox-applet                  0.1.7-1ubuntu1                    control
applet for rhythmbox music player

terrex at linda:~$ dpkg -l | grep cairo
ii  libcairo1                         0.6.0-0ubuntu2                   
Multi-platform 2D graphics library
ii  libcairo1-dev                     0.6.0-0ubuntu2                   
Multi-platform 2D graphics library

Ah! bug-buddy was not opened when it failed.
