           Summary: Occasional Rhythmbox Delay
           Product: Ubuntu
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: i386
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: P2
         Component: rhythmbox
        AssignedTo: seb128 at ubuntu.com
        ReportedBy: ampatarini at gmail.com
         QAContact: desktop-bugs at lists.ubuntu.com

When I try to play FLAC encoded files, or even when I play MP3's and Vorbis
files (though the error occurs much less often in this case), Rhythmbox will
occasionally pause, and by that I mean that it will stop playing for about a
second, as if it were buffering, and then start back up. This can happen as many
as 3 times during a single song. I tested this in XMMS to see if it also occured
there and was unable to replicate the problem. Then, thinking this might be a
problem with GStreamer, I tried to recreate the error in Totem and again was
unable to, making Rhythmbox the only player with this issue.

I'm running the i386 edition of regular Ubuntu on an AMD64 laptop, 512MB RAM,
80GB 5400RPM laptop (I checked, and I get an average read speed of 29MB/sec, so
it should be plenty fast even for WAV files). I'm not sure of what diagnostic
tests to run.
