Maybe related to libsoup package.

If I start it from console, I get the following relevating output:

(evolution:8944): evolution-shell-WARNING **: Cannot activate
'OAFIID:GNOME_Evolution_Calendar_Component:2.4': g_module_open of
`/usr/lib/evolution/2.4/components/libevolution-calendar.so' failed with
`libsoup-2.2.so.7: not able to open the shared file: The file or directory does
not exist'

A soon fix to correct the problem is doing the following:

terrex at linda:/usr/lib$ sudo ln -s libsoup-2.2.so.8 libsoup-2.2.so.7

When done, evolution works as wished.
I think that evolution should be recompilated due to the new version of libsoup.
