Gnopernicus fails silently to do magnification when gnome-mag isn't installed.
Because magnification is only an optional feature, gnome-mag isn't a strict
dependency for Gnopernicus, just a recommendation. There has been some confusion
about this in the forums. It isn't easy to know that you need gnome-mag.

There is a simple solution though; we can just add the following text to the
synaptic description text: "To enable the magnification feature you must also
install the optional component gnome-mag."
