Ubuntu | rhythmbox
Summary: Rhythmbox doesn't play files on a ro (read-only)
partition (like ntfs) (maybe it needs write permission)
Product: Ubuntu
Version: unspecified
Platform: i386
OS/Version: other
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: rhythmbox
AssignedTo: seb128 at ubuntu.com
ReportedBy: santagada at gmail.com
QAContact: desktop-bugs at lists.ubuntu.com
when you try to open any song, rhythmbox puts a ! in the first row of the
treeview, doesn't play it and in the properties page of the song it puts "Could
not open resource for writing". Maybe it need's write permission to put some
metadata on the files, but I just want to play the music. This is probably a
regression, as rhythmbox always played this kind of file.
