Fixed with this upgrade:

control-center (1:2.11.92-0ubuntu1) breezy; urgency=low

  * New upstream version:
    about-me:
    - typo fix.
    - use "wrapped" instead of "one" to handler the case where
the passwd command finds the password wrapped. Use a long delay period.
    - use integer to avoid comparison being always true due to limited range.
    background:
    - Enable/disable the style-menu, shading-menu and color-picker buttons
      w.r.t gconf-keys..
    - Replace the changing of some GtkDialog defaults through style properties
with calls to gtk_widget_ensure_style and gtk_container_set_border_width.
    - If the value for the "picture_options" key is set to "none", don't set
the optin menu for the scaling options to tiled (Ubuntu: #13257).
    common:
    - Get the Example icon that is specified by the icon theme, if it exists,
and then fall back through a better list of icons to use.
    keyboard:
    - don't use a page value, fix the different behaviour between widgets.
    other:
    - configure fixes.
    - fix a leak.
