If I start gedit from the command line then click on the "open" button, I get
this error in my xterm (but the open file dialog still appear to work normally):


daniel at home:~$ gedit

(gedit:14505): Gtk-CRITICAL **: gtk_file_system_path_is_local: assertion `path
!= NULL' failed
