I tried to join a chatroom on talk.google.com so i enter: 3kirt, talk.google.com
and diggnation for the room, it takes a while and eventually times out (i don't
think that part is gossip's fault), click ok for the error, then cancel and
gossip crashes with this backtrace.

Program received signal SIGSEGV, Segmentation fault.
