           Summary: gksudo problems after gtk+ upgrade
           Product: Ubuntu
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: i386
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: P2
         Component: gtk+2.0
        AssignedTo: seb128 at ubuntu.com
        ReportedBy: evandrofg at ig.com.br
         QAContact: desktop-bugs at lists.ubuntu.com

After upgrading gtk+2.0 packages from 2.8.0-1ubuntu2 to 2.8.1-1 I'm having
problems starting some apps with gksudo. It appears only python-gtk2 packages
are affected. They all display the same error message, and the app does not
start. Examples:

1)
(serpentine:7042): Gdk-WARNING **: Visual type=static gray depth=24, image
bpp=32, lsb first
is not supported by GdkRGB. Please submit a bug report
with the above values to bugzilla.gnome.org

2)
(gnome-app-install:7065): Gdk-WARNING **: Visual type=static gray depth=24,
image bpp=32, lsb first
is not supported by GdkRGB. Please submit a bug report
with the above values to bugzilla.gnome.org

3)
(update-manager:7074): Gdk-WARNING **: Visual type=static gray depth=24, image
bpp=32, lsb first
is not supported by GdkRGB. Please submit a bug report
with the above values to bugzilla.gnome.org

C apps like gnome-terminal and gcalctool work ok with gksudo. Serpentine and
gnome-app-install work in normal mode (no gksudo), update-manager also "works"
(it displays the 'must run as root' error).

I'm running the nvidia xorg driver, system is breezy i386.
