Thank you for looking into it :)

'sudo' also doesn't work, it gives the same error message as gksudo.

I have new info, the problem only happens with the 'nvidia' driver and gtk
2.8.1/2.8.2. The 'nv' driver works with any gtk version, and 'nvidia' works ok
with the old gtk 2.8.0-1ubuntu2.

There's another problem (other than the sudo/gksudo with a few applications)
that only affects 'nvidia' + gtk2.8.1/2.8.2. Totem, rhythmbox and sound-juicer
(and possibly other gstreamer apps) will not start, an 'application has crashed'
dialog pops up.

The output of xdpyinfo is the same with nvidia+gtk2.8.0 and nvidia+gtk2.8.2. I
attach a tar file with the output of xdpyinfo and my xorg.conf file.

Thank you
