Summary: Checking for index presence when opening documents
           Product: Ubuntu
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: i386
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: P2
         Component: evince
        AssignedTo: seb128 at ubuntu.com
        ReportedBy: vincent.trouilliez at modulonet.fr
         QAContact: desktop-bugs at lists.ubuntu.com

I just happened to open a very large (350 pages) PDF, with tons of
chapters/subchapters. However when evince opened the document, it dind't display
the left pane. So I pressed F9 to get it, but then it was set to 'thumbnails'
instead of 'index', which is useless in this case, so I had to correct this as well.
Would be nice if evince could check for the presence of an index, and if there
is one, display the left pane and set it to 'index', not 'thumbnails'.
