------- Additional Comments From Nikolaus at rath.org 2005-08-31 19:51 UTC -------
The volumes aren't opened automatically because I disabled that feature. From
the volumes currently mentioned in /etc/fstab:
"shared" is fixed and can't be plugged in/out. Currently, it is mounted but not
visible on the desktop.
"usbdata" is an usb drive, which isn't automatically mounted due to bug 14045.
It's always visible under computer and sometimes visible on the desktop.
Then there's a third drive, "usbbackup":
[0] nokile:~$ cat /etc/fstab |grep usbbackup
/dev/mapper/usbbackup /mnt/usbbackup xfs noauto
It can't be mounted automatically because it's an encrypted drive. Currently
I've mounted it manually and it appears neither on the desktop nor under computer.
