This is a nvidia bug as described there:

http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=314888

I guess this will make lots of noise for all people using nvidia binary drivers
version 7667. So let's hope nvidia will fix this soon, otherwise it should be
possible to patch gtk to avoid this bug (as a temporary solution until nvidia
fixes this and everybody has upgraded).

Maybe resolution should be set to UPSTREAM, not for gtk but rather for nvidia
(do they have a bugzilla like ?).
