looking at the build-depends, libglib2.0-0-dbg seems the only necessary. More
important would be to follow the steps on
http://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingProgramCrash and build libgstreamer0.8-0
(/usr/bin/gst-compprep-0.8 is part of it)
