Summary: eog crashes after deleting an image within a collection
           Product: Ubuntu
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: i386
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: P2
         Component: eog
        AssignedTo: seb128 at ubuntu.com
        ReportedBy: colan at alumni.uwaterloo.ca
         QAContact: desktop-bugs at lists.ubuntu.com

Description of the crash:

After confirming that the file is to be deleted, the following assertion failure
is reported:

    ** ERROR **: file eog-window.c: line 2993 (handle_image_selection_changed):
assertion failed: (EOG_IS_IMAGE (image))
    aborting...

The file actually does get deleted, but eog seems to crash immediately after.

Steps to reproduce the crash:
1. Open eog with multiple files.
2. Select a picture in the collection.
3. Hit the "Delete" key.
4. Select "Delete" when asked "Do you really want to move 1 image to trash?"

Expected Results:
The next picture within the collection should be selected. If there is no next
picture, the previous picture should be selected. If there is no previous
picture, then the behaviour should be the same as when eog is opened with no images.

How often does this happen?
Every time.

Additional Information:
Package: eog 2.12.1-0ubuntu2
Desktop: Gnome 2.12.1
OS: Ubuntu Linux 5.10 (Breezy Badger)
Kernel: 2.6.12-10-k7 #1 (i686)
