Ok, as far as the kernel is concerned, I'm going to say this bug is done.
However, some things are still unresolved. I'm pushing this to gnome, and see
where it goes from there.
Not sure I can do anything about the speed issues. The eject problem is likely
because the ide interface doesn't lend itself well to plug/unplug and change of
media (except in cases of cdrom's, but this device is seen as a harddrive).
Because zip is such an old technology, I also don't expect much help on this
from upstream, if there even is one anymore.
