Thanks for the debugging output. But I'm afraid I need some further assistance
from you: Can you please send me the exact device label that you use, so that I
can reproduce the bug here? Perhaps the best method is
sudo dd if=/dev/sda1 bs=1k count=1 > sda1head.bin
and attach sda1head.bin here. I can get the exact label out of that first kB.
