Quick note from upstream: the problem has been fixed in the CVS version. The
code is now split into a priviliged process which runs the IO and an
unpriviliged process which runs everything else. Compared to the old way of
doing things security is probably marginally worse simply because the priviliged
has a larger, more flexible, interface to the unpriviliged code. In practise
this difference should be negligible.
