Summary: Gnome Should Use Xscreensaver-like gamma fading
Product: Ubuntu
Version: unspecified
Platform: All
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: gnome-session
AssignedTo: seb128 at ubuntu.com
ReportedBy: punkrockguy318 at comcast.net
QAContact: desktop-bugs at lists.ubuntu.com
The gnome fading to grey (like in the logout dialog and sudo) is rather choppy
and slow. It does not smoothly fade the screen.
Xscreensaver on the other hand, smoothely fades the screen to black using a
gamma fade technique. Could this code be easily ported to gnome-logout?
