I'm not sure if it directly related but I'm having the problem described in

https://bugzilla.ubuntu.com/show_bug.cgi?id=12184

which seems to be caused by changes in xorg since that problem didn't exist in
hoary for example. Which leads me to think that maybe this one was also caused
by some xorg change.
