           Summary: Widget rendering problem
           Product: Ubuntu
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: i386
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: P2
         Component: gtk+2.0
        AssignedTo: seb128 at ubuntu.com
        ReportedBy: vincent.trouilliez at modulonet.fr
         QAContact: desktop-bugs at lists.ubuntu.com

Under certain circumstances, the drop-down list widget behaves in a very weird
and ugly way.

In screenshot #1, the widget is in the middle of the screen, with plenty of
space to draw the list downwards, in the usual way.
In screenshot #2, the widget is close to the bottom of the scrreen, hence not
enough space under it. Obviously no problem, it draws a rectanle of the required
size, upwards, large enough to host all the list items. However, when populating
the list, it leaves the upper part of the list empty (very strange and ugly),
and puts an arrow to scroll down the list, despite obviously there shoudln't be
any need to scroll, since the list rectangle has been appropriately sized from
the start.
