Ubuntu | gstreamer0.8

           Summary: sound choppy
           Product: Ubuntu
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: Other
        OS/Version: other
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: P2
         Component: gstreamer0.8
        AssignedTo: seb128 at ubuntu.com
        ReportedBy: michael at endbracket.net
         QAContact: desktop-bugs at lists.ubuntu.com

Rhythmbox and other applications depending on GStreamer produce rather choppy
sound (sound with large amounts of audio missing). It seems OK when I first
start an application. Sounds seems to be especially choppy if I suspend the
client application then resume it. It never regains sync.

Happens irrespective of the media type (Ogg Vorbis and MP3 are both affected) or
client (Rhythmbox and gst-player exhibit the same problem).
