Hi,
  glad to see that there are sparc users around,
but a few things:

a) sparc was never announced as an available port and it's not really supported
other than from me.
b) sparc.ubuntu.com was a temporary storage area. You absolutely want to switch
to ports.ubuntu.com.

i didn't really keep hoary around since main was not completely there at release
time.

Can you please anyway try hoary from ports? in case the error is still there,
it's because the package
was not built.. touch we will hopefully get all of breezy :)
