Ubuntu | gnome-cups-manager
Summary: Become Administrator wrong commandline option
Product: Ubuntu
Version: unspecified
Platform: i386
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: gnome-cups-manager
AssignedTo: martin.pitt at ubuntu.com
ReportedBy: pascal.devuyst at gmail.com
QAContact: desktop-bugs at lists.ubuntu.com
1) Log in as a normal user (NO member of admin and lpadmin group).
2) Right click on a printer and select Properties.
3) Click "Become Administrator" at bottom of Printer Properties window.
4) Enter your user password
=> gnome-cups-manager just quits without a warning.
If gnome-cups-manager is executed from a terminal I get the following output
after clicking "Become Administrator":
ronny at athlon:~$ gnome-cups-manager
ronny at athlon:~$ gksudo: unrecognized option `--properties'
GKsu version 1.3.0
Usage: gksudo [-u <user>] [-k] [-l] <command>
--always-ask-password, -a
Do not try to check if there are other means of
obtaining the password we need running the command,
or even if we really need it, just ask for it.
--debug, -d
Print information on the screen that might be
useful for diagnosing and/or solving problems.
