Summary: rhythmbox crashes upon encountering a quicktime .mov
file while importing an iTunes-generated folder
           Product: Ubuntu
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: powerpc
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: P2
         Component: rhythmbox
        AssignedTo: seb128 at ubuntu.com
        ReportedBy: eduardgrebe at gmail.com
         QAContact: desktop-bugs at lists.ubuntu.com

I run breezy on PPC. When I tried to import my iTunes library folder (which is
on an hfs+ partition) into rhythmbox, it crashed. I ended up importing
individual subfolders to locate the problem and found that rhythmbox crashed
when it encountered certain .mov quicktime movie files (which can be viewed in
and is kept in the library by iTunes 6). It seems certain other movie files
(both .movs and .mp4s) didn't cause rhythmbox to crash but produced a "xxx is
not a recognised audio stream" type error message without interrupting the
import process. If anyone wants to look into this, email me and I can send you
the .movs that caused the problem (they're small).
